It's Fiesta Time: Safety Comes First with Solane

Philippine fiestas are more fun with food!

Solane leads safety in the fiestas

Summer in the Philippines is filled with fun activities such as fiestas from one place to another and food has been the center of all the local festivities. This is because we Filipinos love to gather around food and what better way to prepare it with such  care and dedication than having a dependable LPG tank that is totally safe.

From the kitchen to the streets, expect the country’s top LPG solutions provider Solane to campaign on the importance of safety during this year’s most colorful festivals.

“In a country where there’s always a fiesta somewhere, Solane made it a point to be present at these festivals that present a great opportunity to spread our advocacy of safety in the kitchen. Because truth be told, what happens in the kitchen doesn’t only affect one’s residence but also the neighborhood,” said Isla LPG Corp. chief executive officer Ruben Domingo.

Solane has started spreading awareness by joining parades of recent festivals honoring Sto. NiƱo—Cebu’s Sinulog Kalibo’s Ati-Atihan and Iloilo City’s Dinagyang Festival. Solane joined the merrymaking through its eye-catching floats, while showcasing its effective service, and safe, high-quality LPG to its customers.

These included the first-of-its-kind safety cap, which completely plugs the gas to prevent leaks before installing the tank with a hose, the seal that carries a serial number to protect Solane customers from illegal LPG refillers and the Solane Authenticity Checker on Facebook, which verifies if the tank came from a licensed Solane dealer.

There’s also the Hatid-Bahay service, where every Solane LPG delivery guarantees a 7-point safety sheck of the LPG system by the company’s well-trained riders. Residents outside Metro Manila can now order Solane LPG conveniently for their fiesta needs by going online at www.solane.com.ph or sending SMS to its nationwide textline 0918-8875555.

During the festivals, Solane also took the opportunity to offer sales promotion activities in Cebu and Aklan and gave out branded merchandise. The success of Solane’s safety campaign in the Visayas is credited to the enriching relationship of Solane provincial executives with its local distributors. These were made possible by Isla LPG Corp. VisMin sales manager Rene Gamba, VisMin packed team; ILC Cebu POE Geraldine Indangan, Cebu VisMin Supply Chain team; and partner distributors Cebu Gazland Enterprises, Jet Sales Corporation, Quickway Gas Center, Marianing & Sons, Fabson Inc.

True to its commitment to innovate and care for its customers, Solane is persistent in advocating safety, may it be an ordinary day at home, a red-letter day or during fiestas.

Transforming Lives: The Impact of SM Group's KSK Program on Filipino Farmers

Farming futures Jayson and Juanito proudly showcase a selection of produce at the SM City Clark’s Weekend Market. While modern agricultural techniques boost yields for some, there remains a number of Filipino farmers who struggle to keep pace. These experienced hands find themselves falling behind in a market demanding higher production, clinging to familiar yet often inefficient methods passed down through generations. One farmer from Pampanga, Jayson Garcia, sought to disrupt this prevailing narrative in his family. He knew that he had to chart a new course forward for his farm and innovate to remain competitive within the rapidly evolving landscape of modern agriculture. “Noon, mahirap ang magtanim,” he recalled their life before joining SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan. “Para bang tsambahan, basta pag itinanim mo ‘yan, hintayin mo na lang mamunga. Mas mahirap pa lalo kapag nagkaroon ng kalamidad,” he added.  SM Foundation’s training program focused on high-value crop cultiv

A 15-Minute Tropical City in Pasay

All within 15 minutes: Urban planning concept city to rise in Pasay For the modern urban dweller, 15 minutes is a lot of time.  A lot of productive things can be done – a high-intensity, interval training (HITT) workout or run a 1.5-kilometer route, clearing your emails, meditating, catching up on the news, or preparing a quick smoothie – all within 15 minutes.  But for the Metro Manila commuter, 15 minutes is barely enough to get from point A to point B. During rush hour, it is most likely that within this time, you still haven’t moved an inch.   Ever heard of the 15-minute city? It’s a modern urban planning concept that puts people and the planet first. The term was coined by Paris-based urbanist and Sorbonne University professor Carlos Moreno wherein he said that the ideal neighborhood or city is built in such a way where work, food, housing, education and cultural activities can be easily accessed within 15 minutes, whether by foot or by using a bike.  An artist’s render of a 15-
