Myth: Hair products that promise straightening, softening and smoothing effects use non-toxic Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate as a natural preservative.

Truth: Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate is a substance used in making your hair soft and bouncy, although it is considered as a natural preservative, it also releases formaldehyde upon usage which can lead to skin and eye irritations.
